Awards in both divisions for the categories listed. Only one entry per category per person is allowed. All exhibits must have been grown by the exhibitor. Number of each vegetable required for an entry is shown in ( ). Awards will be 1st = $1.00, 2nd = 75 cents, 3rd = 50 cents. All vegetables must be clean to be shown. 15 ENTRIES by same person will earn a free carload pass to this year’s fair!

HEAVIEST SQUASH CONTEST
($25,  $15,  $10 plus Ribbons)
Must be a squash variety and weigh over 50 lbs.   Will be weighed upon arrival on our scales. Owners must be prepared to unload and place squash for display.


SCARECROW CONTEST
Jr. (16 & under) and Senior Divisions    ($10, $5, $3 plus  Ribbons)
Scarecrow to be life-size and free standing, designed and assembled by the exhibitor. To be judged for its suitability for the garden and originality.


HANGING  PLANTS
Jr. (16 & under) and Senior Divisions    ($3, $2, $1 plus  Ribbons)
Plants to be in hanging baskets or pots and must have been in the exhibitor's possession for at least one month.

5 or more varieties of vegetables attractively displayed in an appropriately sized basket. Items to be of definite market quality. To be judged on attractiveness of entry and its content's quality.


HEAVIEST TOMATO CONTEST
in memory of LION RAY BECKWITH
Jr. (16 & under) and Sr. Divisions  ($5, $3, $2 plus Ribbons - Each Div.)

Must be of good market quality.    Will be weighed upon arrival.


TALLEST SUNFLOWER CONTEST
Jr. (16 & under) and Senior Divisions      ($5, $3, $2 plus Ribbons)
Stalks will be measured from "ground level" or from bottom of the stalk, as presented, to the highest point of the plant when standing.


LARGEST SUNFLOWER BLOSSOM CONTEST
Jr. (16 & under) and Senior Divisions      ($5, $3, $2 plus Ribbons)
Diameter of  blossoms will be measured to the edges of the solid part of the flower, not to the end of the petals. Blossom must be cut from the stock.


FARM EXHIBITS
($50, $40, $30, $20, $15, $10 plus Ribbons)
Displays of at least twenty (20) items produced or grown since last year's fair on your farm and displayed on our 3' x 8' table with two steps and a wire back. Judged on quality, educational value and arrangement.
